October 3 - Running Home
After a large weekend in Melbourne and Sydney, it was a bit difficult to get the body moving for a run home. Very little sleep and way too much beer and greasy food had me not in great shape come Tuesday evening.Anyway I plugged ahead, and decided that this run I would time, but stopping my watch each time I had to stop at lights etc.
So I set off down Heidelberg Rd, with my legs feeling very heavy, but keeping a nice controlled pace. I didn't want to press all out for the run, so I just kept a steady pace going for the entire run.
Through Fairfield Park, along Capitol City Trail and down to Dights Falls, I was still feeling rather weary in the legs and panting a bit, but just blowing out the cobwebs of the weekend.
Along Trenerry Cres, Gipps Street and finally Victoria Parade to home.
I completed the 7.8 km in 39m36s of running, at a pace 5.04.
