September 19 - Two's Company
Tonight my legs were still a bit weary from the SiS Race on Sunday, silly me forget to put the SKINS on afterwards and I really noticed the difference. It was also a very warm Melbourne September evening, with the temperature still hovering around 27 when I left work at 5pm.
One of my work colleagues has moved into Collingwood, so I had some company for the run home which was a nice change. She is very fit as well, so it was a good paced run made even better by some conversation!
Anyway we followed Heidelberg Road down to Chandler Highway, and then along Yarra Boulevard, crossing the Yarra at Fairfield. Along the Capitol City Trail to Dights Falls and up to Trenerrey Crescent and around Victoria Park, crossing Hoddle Street into Collingwood.
I ran the final 1.5km solo, for an 8.5km run all up.
Got home and went up to the pool and soaked the legs, trying to get rid of some of the muscle fatigue.
