October 23 - Hills

Tonight was a great night for a run home. About 22 degrees, with sun and no wind, perfect.

I followed my usual route along Heidelberg Road, then south down Chandler Highway and then along Yarra Boulevard. From here I cut across the Yarra River to Fairfield Park, alongside NMIT, and then down past the golf club.

Across the Yarra again to Studley Park Boathouse, and then up the fairly steep path to Studley Park Road. From here I cut back to Yarra Boulevard, and followed the road up the hill on the opposite side of the river to Collingwood Children's Farm.

Then it was downhill again, back across the river to Gipps Street and through Abbotsford to East Melbourne.

All up it was a 10km hilly run in 52 minutes, which was really smoking for me.

Felt good and fresh when I completed the run, so I think the km's are really starting to pay off again!
