Worst Run Yet....

Tonight was a real slog, and possibly my worst run yet.

I had been feeling a little listless, and not well for the past day or so, and hadn't done too much exercise. I was having second thoughts about running all afternoon, but when 5pm came I got changed and headed out.

Through the first km I felt lethargic and had really 'heavy' calves, and just could not get into a rhythm. I was really struggling and was tempted to stop. As I made my way down Heidelberg Road, I felt a little better and continued pushing on. Down through Fairfield Park and along the Capitol City Trail and finally to Dights Falls.

I began wishing that we had moved into the new apartment already as I didn't want to continue to South Yarra. Then cutting through Collingwood and Richmond, I began to go downhill again. For the last 3 km's I had to really keep pushing myself to continue and not pull out.

As I crossed the Yarra on the rail bridge, and started up Darling Street hill, I decided enough was enough and stopped running and walked the final 500m.

It would have to be the worst I've felt running, although surprisingly the time wasn't as bad as I expected with 10.5km in 60 minutes.

Well that's the crap one out of the way, the next one will be a goodie!
