August 21 - Ivanhoe to East Melbourne

Well my planned extra couple of runs last weekend didn't really come to fruition, a combination of being slack and social engagements saw to that!

Tonight I wanted to do the run home from work and push it a bit, really give myself a time to aim for and have a crack at each month. The most direct route home is 7.75km long, which follows Heidelberg Road down to Fairfield Park, then across Fairfield Park beside NMIT, where it joins the Capitol City Trail. From there it is through Dights Falls, up to Trennery Crescent, and then down Nicholson Street to Gipps Street or Langridge Street across to Hoddle Street and then finishing off along Victoria Pde to Wellington Street.

All up last night took me 40m 11sec which equates to 5.10 pace.

Not bad considering the amount of stopping at traffic lights etc.
