November 22 - A Different Path Home

I was thinking of doing a longer run tonight in preparation for the Knox Half, however after a solid speed session last night wiser heads prevailed.

I decided on a different path, although not as scenic as my usual trail home, it made for a good change. I headed up Upper Heidelberg Road to Darebin Road, and then followed Darebin Road all the way to High Street in Northcote.

There was an ulterior motive to my course selection as well, as we were heading to the Northcote Social Club later to see Weddings Parties Anything and I wanted to check out what was around the area for dinner.

I headed south down High Street all the way to Queens Parade in Clifton Hill, where I turned south again along Gold Street, which I followed until it ended in Collingwood. Then it was down Wellington Street all the way to Victoria Parade and home.

All up it was a touch over 10km which I covered in around 60 minutes.

As a sidenote, dinner was at Lambs for a great feed of Greek food, followed by a rockin' set of the Weddings. It has made me look forward to Queenscliff Music Festival all the more this weekend.
