October 26 - Two Runs

Tonight was test drive evening for the new runners as I was going to do two runs.

The first run was the usual jog home from work, which because it was a two run evening I took nice and easy. I utilised the Adistars for this part of the run and they gave a smooth and comfortable ride. The bridge in my right shoe was a little higher than the bridge in my old Nike Structure Triax and I found it was rubbing a little due to the changed motion. At about 5km in I had to stop to adjust the sock and shoe and it really settled down after that. All up this run was 7.5km which I completed in around 44mins.

The second run I was joined by a couple of friends and had changed into the Supernovas. We ventured through Fitzroy Gardens, across the Tennis Centre Bridge and then along the river side of Batman Ave. Then it was across William Barak Bridge, through the MCG Gardens, and finally up Powlett Street home. The Supernovas were noticeably heavier than the Adistars, but gave a very smooth and comfortable ride with no issues from the small blister gained in the first run. All up this run was 5km run in just over 25mins.

I won't do two runs in a night too often, but wanted a few more km's than the second run would offer. To celebrate we checked out Dee-Lish on Smith Street which had a $10 Parma and pot deal. The parmas were big and tasty, not the best I've had but far from the worst. Well worth checking out.
