May 9 - Ivanhoe to South Yarra

Tonight was a variation on my usual running route home. I followed Heidelberg Road down to the Chandler Highway, then I followed the Chandler over the freeway and turned up Princess Street to Kew Junction. Once at the Junction I followed Church Street to Bridge Road, and then turned down Yarra Boulevard. Instead of following the river, I cut down beside the ovals to Swan Street and then through Burnley to the Yarra. I followed the Yarra until I got to the rail bridge between Chapel Street and Punt Road, and crossed there and up the Darling Street hill.

Overall it was an 11km run in 58 minutes, which I was pretty happy about, especially as I had run 10.5km the day previously.

The hill into Kew up Princess Street seemed to go forever, and I definitely have some aches in the quads.

Will be interesting to see how the Wednesday speed work session goes......
