June 09 - Ivanhoe to Bridge Road
I was a bit all over the shop mentally tonight, as my GF and I had just agreed to buy our first place. An apartment in the old Victoria Brewery on Victoria Parade, and we were signing the contracts the next morning. It all happened pretty quickly, so I was in a bit of a daze.I was also running in Brooks tights for the first time, so that was a little different. I couldn't just wear tights, so also wore some running shorts over the top. Not sure why, as my tee covered the nether regions anyway!
Anyway I travelled okay on this run, but my pace was all over the shop. I followed Heidelberg Road down to Fairfield Park and then cut down to the Capitol City Trail and to Dight's Falls. From there it was up to Trenerry Cres and behind Victoria Park, down Nicholson Street and Lennox Street to Highett Street and then I cut into Richmond Plaza. I picked up some dinner here and that was the end of the run.
All up an 8km run in 41 minutes, so just over 5.00 pace.
