September 4 & 5 - Two For One
I will put both my runs for this week in one post, as I didn't get around to posting Monday's run.Monday - another nice evening for a run, and after a few ales on the weekend it was good to get the legs moving again. Tonights run was a 10km run along the Yarra and through the Collingwood Children's Farm.
I picked up the pace a bit from about the 5km mark (Dight's Falls) for the run along the Yarra Trail until I got to the Gipps Street Bridge.
I felt pretty good throughout the run and all up it took 52 minutes.
Tuesday - tonight the run was the quick run home to Dights Falls and then along Hoddle Street to East Melbourne, but as the better half was working at an aths event at Olympic Park I headed down there for a look, so all up it was an easy 10km.
Watching some of the runners was pretty astounding, some very talented young ladies out there. Wouldn't be surprised if a few were already in the AV system. I had to ask the question though - Why have the major aths events in early September? Supposedly it is just done this way, which restricts quite a few of the girls as it's getting into the heavy study period now.
All up a good first few days of the week, will have Wednesday off and throw in a longer run on Thursday.
SKINS UPDATE - Last week I didn't use the SKINS and my legs seemed particularly heavy the day after running. This week the SKINS have gone on immediately after finishing and I have felt much fresher.
Yep, I certainly believe the hype!
